Steve has spent the last 25 years studying the sacred technologies of many cultures and integrating them into the framework of Western Psychology. He has developed and conducted relationship workshops, meditation retreats and corporate stress management seminars throughout the United States. For the past twenty years he has been one of the leading psychotherapists in Los Angeles. Steve is the writer and co-developer of Time/Life Library’s best selling corporate video series, Stress Management – A Positive Strategy. He has served as director of the Stress Management Program at Alta Institute, a sports and preventative medicine clinic in Los Angeles. He has also designed and presented stress management, communication and meditation programs for AT&T, Prudential Real Estate, LA. Gear, the U.S. Army, Transamerica Corporation, Cosmi Corporation, and Apple Computer. Steve created the first pilot program on “Meditation for Prisoners” at the Rahway State Prison in N.J. In addition, he conducted research at Rutger’s Medical School on “The Effects of Meditation on Alcoholism”. In collaboration with Drs. Carrington and Ephron, he completed a two-year psychological study on "Meditation as an Adjunct to Psychotherapy" at Princeton University, which was presented at the American Psychological National Conference. He is currently practicing spiritually oriented psychotherapy and conducts workshops on art, shamanism and relationships.
