Friendships

I maintain a lot of friendships from my youth.  I was at a party recently where nine of the people there had known me my whole life.  There’s a great sense of being known for the person I am.  I have been to too many weddings where the guests are all business colleagues; either because the person did not invest in real friendships along the way or because friendships are another step along an ambitious path.  And while that might help them get fame and money, all that stuff can be taken away.  There are things in life that can not be taken away and I think it’s important to be building those things.
