Energy

I live an uncomplicated life. I work ten or twelve hours a day. I exercise four to five times a week. I started jogging in 1968 and it’s a big part of my life. I’ve found that it helps me not only physically, but mentally and emotionally as well.

Drayton Mclane
Drayton McLane grew up in a small town in Texas and has called Houston home for many years. From 1965 to 1994, Drayton was CEO of McLane Company, a leading wholesale grocery distribution business. He and his team were incredibly successful, overseeing an average of 30% sales growth over a 30 year period. Drayton later sold his business to Sam Walton. HIs grandfather started the business in 1984 and prior to that worked as a farm laborer after migrating to Texas. After selling his business to Walmart, he purchased the Houston Astros, which he owned until 2005. He now runs a diversified holding company McLane Group. The McLanes are members of First Baptist Church of Temple, where he teaches Sunday School.
