Value of a Psychologist

I’m a big believer in the benefits of external accountability in one’s personal life.  I see a psychiatrist for the simple reason to have someone to which I am held accountable for my own personal development.  I think it’s healthy to have an external source look at you from a life versus a career perspective.  How have you been with your family?  How have you been with yourself?  We tend not to ask these questions of ourselves often enough.

Mario Morino
Mario Morino is co-founder and chairman of Venture Philanthropy Partners and chairman of the Morino Institute. His career spans more than 40 years as entrepreneur, technologist, and civic and business leader. In the early 1970s, Mario co-founded and helped build Legent Corporation, a software and services firm that became a market leader and one of the industry's 10 largest firms by the early 1990s. Mario lives in greater Cleveland, Ohio, with his wife and three children.
